ABOUT THE ROLE:    
CONTEXT
The role is for a lead position to handle strategic building of marketing plans to grow the share and leadership of the fastest growing sport in the country - Kabaddi in the overall sports/TV universe by driving viewership and engagement amongst the potential viewer base, including the current set of viewers and the potential new viewers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
·           Driving viewership (awareness, intention to watch) for different Sport properties in a Vertical throughout the year through disruptive and innovative communication and marketing plans. This involves:
§  Developing actionable insights into effective product, media and communication plans
§  Leading diverse and multi-functional project teams to manage the end to end delivery of marketing plans for the different properties in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
§  Working closely with Internal & External partners: Advertising agencies, media planners and media partners (Radio/Print/TV channels), research agencies, activation agencies, social and digital agencies, production houses/partners, Bollywood studios
§  Developing 360 degree digital and communication plans through collaboration with key stakeholders: Ad-sales teams, sales, key advertisers and the internal corporate communications team
§  Collaboration with Sports federations and Government bodies
·           Build team affinity, heroes and strategically position Kabaddi in the emerging sports landscape 
·           Planning and managing yearly multi-crore budgets in paid media and Star owned media for large impact properties
·           Playing a pivotal role in the sports leadership team by providing strategic inputs for growth and working closely with other functions to co-create plans
QUALIFICATION
·         MBA from a premium Tier 1 institute
·         11-15 years of core marketing and brand management experience; driving ATL/BTL plans for complete categories
·         Data ‘jedi’ having worked in emerging / fast paced product categories and built brands
·         Someone who has built a new category and made the brand(s) in that category number one in that space
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
·         Exposure to planning and strategy for on-air & off-air promotion; running digital campaigns and conducting events
·         Experience in managing an end-to-end TVC creation and delivering campaign creatives
·         Executional excellence & strong bias for action
·         Excellent communication & presentation skills
·         Proficiency in managing partner relations (internal & external)
·         Experience in managing a team of 3-5 full-time resources
